WHAT TO BRING
Updated June 8, 2025
Packing Check List
To make it easy for you, here is a checklist that we have compiled after 15 years of experience doing these trips. We may have forgotten one or two things, but this is really all you need.
NOTE: There are cycling stores within a mile or two of both hotels... they will have ANYTHING you may want or need or have forgotten.
NOTE: When packing your luggage, pack your carry-on bag with one complete cycling kit, wind vest, arm warmers, gloves, helmet, cycling shoes, saddle, pedals, cycling computer… basically one of everything you plan to bring that you would need to ride your bike in any condition. Also include a complete change of street clothes and underwear. Why? If your checked bag does not arrive at the same time as you do, you will at least have everything you need to ride with and not miss out on any riding days – which is the whole reason you are going!
RENTAL BIKES
All the rental bikes have a compact crank (50/34) with 11/34 cassettes ideal for the terrain in Mallorca. You can bring the following optional items:
Pedals. I recommend that you bring your own pedals and make sure that they match up with the cleats on the shoes you are bringing. Make sure your cleats are not worn out and will last the trip.
Seat. Bring your own seat. There is nothing like the comfort of home. Please note: Carbon 7x9 rails are not compatible with rental bikes.
Power Meter. If you have a Shimano Crank based PM like Stages or 4iiii, bring it. We can install it on the rental for the week for you. Pedal PM’s are also super easy too! If you are not sure about your PM, email Stu and he will confirm if is compatible with the rental bikes.
ADDITIONAL BIKE GEAR
Helmet. Have a good look at yours and make sure it is not more than 5 years old or damaged. It must be in good working order. Helmets MUST be always worn when you are riding your bike, no exception.
Water bottles. (2)
Wahoo/Garmin / charger /mount for handlebar (Garmin mount is provided)
GoPro Camera and bar mount (only if you have one)
Bike Fit measurements if you have them (do not assume that Stu will have them, he won’t)
GARMIN/Wahoo GPS BIKE COMPUTERS/Headphones
Bring it if you have one and remember to bring the handlebar mount too. The rental bikes do not have computers. The RCH service dept has computer mounts for sale so if you forget yours, you can purchase one when you arrive.
If you like to ride with music, that is fine, headphones are permitted if they are the “Bone” type. You must be able to hear people speak to you at all times.
In-ear headphones are not permitted, period.
