Mallorca 312 9-Day Cycling Camp

April 20-28, 2025

The Mallorca 312 is one of the most famous one-day cyclosportives in Europe. No surprise really, given that it’s held in one of the world’s most spectacular cycling destinations on totally closed roads.

It also has a reputation for being one of the hardest amateur cycling events out there. It is the longest cycling event for amateur cyclists held in Spain, covering 194 miles (312 kilometers), through the most amazing spots of the Balearic Island. If you think you're capable of something special or need a new challenge, if you like the sea and the mountains and want to discover one of the most spectacular spots in the Mediterranean? If you enjoy sport without having to compete, and never check your time or distance but want an adventure? This is for you! You should not miss it!

How difficult is it to get a Mallorca  312 entry?

Registration for the 2024 Mallorca 312 event sold out faster than ever before. All 8,000 places were snapped up in just 6 minutes! It looks like it’s selling out more quickly every year…

  • The 2023 event sold out in 10 hours.

  • The 2020 event sold out in 13 hours.

  • The 2019 event sold out in less than a week.

So, in short, if you want entry into the next 312 Mallorca, then you need to be quick to get a space.

Everyone entering the event will receive an official jersey, which is recommended that you wear on the ride. You also get a goodie bag. The fee also includes food and drink at the Mallorca 312 feed stations, plus a finisher medal (assuming you finish within the timeframe). At the end, you also get a digital diploma, entry to the pasta party and access to a complimentary physiotherapy and massage service.

The Mallorca 312 appeals to everyone regardless of your cycling interests, you can ride it like a race or you can just enjoy the atmosphere and scenery. In fact, there is a choice between three challenges which you can choose from:

  • The beast is a grueling 194 miles with close to 15,000 ft of climbing. The average ride takes approx. 14 hours to complete.

  • The middle-distance route is 140 miles with more than 12,500 ft of climbing. It will take approx. 10 hours to complete.

  • The short but not less daunting route is 104 miles with more than 8000 ft of climbing. It takes approx. 9 hours to complete.

2025 will mark the event's 9th year. It continues to grow in popularity with each edition and sells out in days. To help riders get round within the time limit, there is a 'Green Dot Group' of local riders who set a steady pace in order to finish within the allocated time.

312 TRIP DETAILS: ***This is NOT a typical Cycling Holiday like the other trips we offer. We will not be using Rompelberg guides/groups or doing a lot of climbing before the 312 Event.***

This unique 9-day trip will start in Palma at the 4-star Grupotel Playa de Palma Suites & Spa, where we will acclimate to the time change and stretch the legs on some of the most beautiful roads on the southern end of the island. Midweek we will transfer to the north via Coll de Soller, a ferry ride and Sa Calobra. We will finish our warmup rides on Thursday on Cape Formentor. While in the north we will stay at the 4-star BG Hotel Rei del Mediterrani Palace just minutes from the 312 start line. On Friday everyone will register at the 312 Event Expo and get plenty of rest before Saturday’s Epic ride!

If you are considering this week, it is important that you understand that the focus of the 312 Camp is NOT to train you for the event, it is to prep you, so you are at your best for what is to come at the end of the week. Considerable training for the 312 needs to be done in the months before you arrive as the one-day Saturday ride is no joke. The week has been specifically designed around getting you adjusted to the time zone change and prepare your legs for what is coming on Saturday on some of the most amazing cycling roads in the world. There will be plenty of rest built in and lots of good food and drink.

Each morning you'll begin your ride around 10:00 AM and return sometime between 2-4 PM depending on the length of the ride planned for the day. There is no follow vehicle, so you will need to carry appropriate layers and food for the days ride. Once you return to the hotel, the afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish.

  • Level A | Tour: I ride my bike an average of 200 miles per week and enjoy a fast pace for an extended period of time. I love to train, improve, and consider myself an Advanced (A) rider. I can maintain an average speed of 20-25mph.

Level B | Hobby: Fitness is central to my life. I ride my bike regularly on a weekly basis and am comfortable with rides of 3-4 hours or more at a relatively strong pace. I can maintain an average speed of 16-22 mph.

  • Averages are based on Level A and B totals

    AVERAGE DAILY MILEAGE: 40 - 60 miles

    TOTAL MILES (8 DAYS): 350 - 450 miles

    AVERAGE DAILY ELEVATION: 800 - 4,000 feet

    TOTAL ELEVATION 8 DAYS): 20,000 - 25,000 feet

  • The terrain is consistently rolling, with quiet, narrow, and winding roads, very little of it is flat. Although the ascents are not exceptionally steep, they are often upwards of three miles long and there are multiple climbs each day.

See the itinerary for specific daily ride distances and elevation options. On all of our cycling holidays, Parvilla Travel seeks to find quiet, paved secondary roads to experience the region; busy roads are avoided as much as possible. The itinerary is an approximation of our trip and routes may change at the discretion of the guide to improve the trip experience or for safety.

  • Stu will be personally guiding the daily rides. There is no follow car so you carry what you need. There is vehicle support in the event of an emergency.

  • The spring can be a bit unpredictable. Typically it brings temperatures in 65F-70F with evening temperatures dropping 5-10 degrees cooler. But being an island, Mallorcan weather can experience odd rain showers and coastal winds. It is advisable to bring warm layers and also rain gear.

A detaild Event Road Book is sent out to all guests in the months leading up to the trip that includes itineraries, packing lists and more.

  • Breakfast and dinner are served in the Hotel Dining Room where we will eat with the other hotel guests. Both meals are buffet style with a huge variety of food offerings. Breakfast starts at 8am and dinner is served at 7pm. Lunch will be on the road.

  • On most Parvilla Travel trips, there are plenty of options for non-cycling travel companions or riders who want to take the afternoon off. Non-riders are welcome on all of our trips. There are plenty of activities for the non cyclists, some of these activities have additional costs and can be arranged through the hotel's concierge. Some non-riding options on this trip are:

    • Savor local flavor and tradition on local winery tours

    • Hike in the dramatic Tramuntana mountains

    • Swim in the crystal blue Mediterranean

    • Golf

    • Explore medieval villages of the Tramuntana coast

    • Explore Palma and all of its shops and restaurants

    • Go to the beach!!
